Campbell Dwarf

Karen’s Campbell, Micah

The Campbell dwarf hamsters are approximately 10 - 12 centimeters in length. These hamsters are sociable and are healthy when kept in pairs. The hamsters should be caged together with siblings or cage mates they have been with at a young age.

Their life span is about 1 - 2 years, although some do live longer. These hamsters aren’t as tolerant of rough handling as the Syrians are so they are sometimes nippy. I would say that the Syrian is the best type of hamster for children. I would suggest a large aquarium or plastic habitat for them to live in. Mainly because they can easily slip through the bars of wire cages and they need much space to run around. I would also suggest the age of the owner to be 10 years old and up.
